Arboretum & Specimen Planting
Many of the fine trees we see today, were planted by the Victorians, 150-200 years ago, it was a golden era for landscape planting, often with exciting new species brought back from sponsored expeditions to remote regions.
Although we are fortunate to enjoy the full grandeur of these specimen trees today, in a way the Victorian never saw, sadly, the past century, with two world wars saw a decline in planting, resulting in a lack of middle aged trees to follow these veterans
We cannot turn the clock back, but we can start planting the trees of the future, and with climate change this is timely, and an exciting challenge to match the right tree species with the right place, as a future legacy. Contact us for help with planting a tree, an arboretum or dedicated woodland.
